KDE4? I get a lot of requests for a KDE 4 version. I'm getting round to it. It's touching that Filelight has such a following after all these years :) Thanks.
Update: It's here.
Filelight creates an interactive map of concentric, segmented rings that help visualise disk usage on your computer.

Like a pie-chart, but the segments nest, allowing you to easily see which files are taking up all your space. Filelight requires KDE3 and some kind of *nix. |
Listen, Filelight is a great simple program. Helped me find where my space was going. Yet, it such a beautiful way! Thanks for that!

Filelight comes with most distributions nowadays, so check with your package manager.
You should be able to just copy and paste the following into a terminal:
cd ~ wget http://methylblue.com/filelight/packages/filelight-1.0.tar.bz2 tar xjf filelight-1.0.tar.bz2 cd filelight-1.0 ./configure --disable-debug && make su -c 'make install'
If you want to have a filelight-style map prerendered at set times during the week, and then controlled in a web browser, take a look at Philesight, an excellent utilty that is also open source.
You can also browse remote servers using the fish:// or ftp:// KIO slave inside Filelight, but for a system administrator I think philesight is more useful, check it out.
If reporting a crash, please include the information from a backtrace! Thanks.
